Unlike many of the cryptids on campus the Deceptionist owes its creation to another cryptid (the Hypewriter – but more of that later). The Decptionist lives in the telephone lines and intranet on campus. An invisible creature of electrons and malice, the Deceptionist is often encountered by the unwary as a charming voice on the other end of the line. Be careful of those who answer your phone calls, for all too often, you are not speaking to a human. Too often the soft voice you hear wishes you ill. The wise on campus always check their facts.
