The Whales at the Whaletail
Have you ever seen the whales at the Whaletail café? They’re quite difficult to spot.
If you look behind a particular bush in the garden round the back, you’ll see a little pond. And if you stand very still for a very long time, you might see a little splash and a flick of a blue tail. They’re very small whales, of course. It’s a species called the Nepalese Pygmy Whale which is not much bigger than a goldfish but it can hold its breath for an hour or even longer if it feels threatened.
Spotting one can take a while. However, there are worse ways to spend an afternoon than sipping a cup of tea, in a garden, waiting for the whales.
