The Hoppers

by Antara Verma

Have you ever been to Tuck and they were out of the delicious pain au chocolates? Or perhaps you went to Sainsbury’s, and they were out of your favourite snack? This is the work of the Hoppers of Lancaster, who spend each day going to the best places in town and stealing the most delicious treats.

The Hoppers look just like anyone else, except for their furry claws and big eyes that don’t blink. They can also change their size by will and before entering their store of choice, they become so tiny that even ants struggle to see them. They always work together to carefully carry out their treats, but once they have grabbed something, it adapts to their size. As soon as they are out of sigh they can change back to human-size and enjoy whatever they could get their claws on.

Until now, they have never been caught or photographed. Only seen by some attentive people who thought they must be daydreaming.
