LANCASTER LORE
The Watching
Orrin Whitling-Wooton
Ever wondered why you can leave all your belongings out in the university library, go on an hour-long adventure, and come back to find your things untouched?
The Watching acts as a guardian of all property in the library, the embodied spirit of all long-lost property that never made it back to their owners. The combined will of these forgotten possessions ensures no other treasured item suffers the same fate.
It is said that sometimes the librarians must lose a pen or two to ensure the Watching has enough power to keep the library safe.
