Miss Whalley's Ghost

Miss Whalley’s Field is haunted.

It’s haunted by the ghosts of her brother and her father killed in the great war.

It’s haunted by those who lived a lifetime tending this place.

It’s haunted by a thousand wildflowers which bloom and die each year.

It’s thoroughly haunted with life.

And every so often you might even see Her,

Miss Whalley’s ghost, busily haunting around the orchard and the meadow.
